If you are one of those people who dream about earning an executive income from home, pay close attention to what I am about to tell you. It is the story of a high-paid executive who wanted to leave her job to start a family. What she thought would be a simple work-at-home job turned into an eight-year-old hole in her pocket.

There is a lot of bad press circulating about an income opportunity home based business, and you shouldn’t believe all that you read about home based careers on the internet. There are even intangible benefits to working from home such as saving precious time not sitting in traffic – time which you can spend with your family instead.

2.    You Can Go Green

Once you have your own business at home, you have a great deal of control over how your company is ran. If becoming eco-friendly is one of your primary goals, you can find ways to reduce your carbon footprint and extend the use of your resources. You might purchase only 100% recycled paper for your printer and choose to print on both sides of the page. You can refill printer ink cartridges or recycle the cores when they have been exhausted. You can unplug all your equipment when you leave your home office, lessening the “phantom pull” of electricity that occurs when electronics are kept in a low-power state. 3.    You Can Be More Efficient and Effective

If you work in a typical workplace, your schedule is largely dictated to you by your company. The use of your time may be inefficient or downright wasteful, but it suits the company’s needs. When you have your own business, you can work as “lean” as you see fit. Some people work better in the morning; others are night owls and get much more accomplished when everyone else is asleep.
